History

The company started in 1919 under the name of GAH Douglas & Co Ltd as an independent family stationers trading from a single shop in the centre of Glasgow’s business district. This was run by the present owner’s grandfather.

The company has grown over the years to become a multi million pound business and is now one of Scotland’s largest office procurement specialists providing a variety of products and services to its loyal customers.

The growth of the company has been achieved through a mixture of organic growth, strategic mergers and acquisitions.

The company now operates under the sole name of DMS Office Ltd across all divisions.

Some of our most recent changes are noted below;

  • GS Mutch & Son Ltd (Falkirk) merged with DMS
  • Stirling Office Supplies (Stirling) merged with DMS
  • Hannah & Co (Grangemouth) acquired by DMS
  • A & I Collington (Bonnybridge) acquired by DMS
  • Stewarts (Edinburgh) staff moved over to DMS
  • Envelopes Wholesale (UK) acquired by DMS
  • CAD Warehouse (Edinburgh) acquired by DMS
  • Scott Computer Supplies (Glasgow) customer’s acquired by DMS
  • Bridgend Printers (Edinburgh) customer’s acquired by DMS
